She woke up mad.

She went to sleep mad.

Every time she saw anyone happy, Mona would try to come up with a way to make that person angry.

It wasn’t until one day she went to visit her grandmother at a nursing home that she realized she was miserable.

“Don’t come visit me anymore, Mona?” her grandmother said.

“Why?”

“Because misery loves company and my days on Earth a few. I want to be happy. You don’t bring me joy.”
